Artillery observer? Aus army help

What's life like as an artillery observer In The australian army? Enlistment starts 7th of February 2017.

Some questions I have :

- do you do infantry stuff, or more map reading observering stuff

- chance of deployment, as aus arty guns go no where, can an arty observer spot for coalition guns like in afganistan or is the role more so for a total war scenario.

- where will I likely be posted after training in Australia

- will I have to jump out of aeroplanes?

- Classic gimp question, is this role good for an attempt at sf I heard arty observers work with cdo 2? Idk somthing heard
