RIDLEY PARK, Pa. (Army News Service, May 11, 2004) — Army special operations forces received their first MH-47G Chinook helicopter during a rollout ceremony at aircraft manufacturer Boeing’s compound in Ridley Park, May 6.

Now the Army needs to go to work and replace all the other CH-47D air frames out there with new ones (not re-engineered A and B models). This is obviously a fine aircraft and the CH-47F for the rest of the fleet is fine as well, but it's not the best product that Boeing can deliver. You can't fly 40 year old aircraft forever
