Per Ardua Ad Astra
I was part of convoy of RAF trucks in UK, we had to stop overnight at an army unit. We were given a meal and given overnight accommodation in a transit billet.
At 06:00 on the dot next morning, an army Sergeant burst into the billet shouting “ITS 06:00 HOURS TIME TO GET OUT OF BED!”
One of the RAF drivers pulled the blankets off his face, put a finger to his lip's and said “Shhh” pulled the blankets back over his head and went back to sleep.
The Sergeant was heard to comment, “Bloody RAF!” and stormed out.
