Anyone know any really really funny cadences

Here's one my track coach taught my school's team last year, we usually did cadences when we were mapping the 1.35 mile run during practices::m1:

I singin hey that Jody boy
I singin hey hey that Jody boy
O well Jody's got your girl
And Jody thinks he's cool
Caus Jody's back in school
Singin hey that Jody boy
I singin hey hey that Jody boy
Well Jody's six foot four
And Jody's bin-a whooped before
Gonna take me a ninety six
Gonna put em in a great big fix
Singin hey that Jody boy
I singin hey hey hey that Jody boy
Aaaa-how yeah

Guide on, guide on in the sky
Show the world who's runnin a mile

when I was young,I was a runnin' fool,
That's why they sent me to ranger school.
Reported for duty and what did I see, but a very old soldier standing next to me.

I said old soldier, old solldier, you're so bold,
But leave the ranger trainin' to the young in the fold,
That old soldier she smiled and me and said,
"I'm the drill instructor for your ranger company"

She smoked me down,
Worked my body,
Cracked my back,
and
Gave me a heart attack!

Mama told Sallly not to go downtown,
But Sally had the @ss, so she went anyhow,
2 months later all was well
3 months later she started to swell
4 months later the baby came,
He was a hard corps stevedore swinging a chain,
He was boomin up
Boomin down,
Slewing left,
Slewing right

Hoorah,

Your mama was home when you left

You're right

Your father was home when you left

You're right

Your sister was home when you left

You're right

Your brother was home when you left

You're right

Your aunt was home when you left

You're right

Your uncle was home when you left

You're right

Your grandma was home when you left

You're right

AND THAT'S WHY YOU LEFT

YOU'RE RIGHT!

My man's a vegetable,
And I'd do anything in this world
Yes, I would do just anything to keep my man alive,
He has a big TV,
It is called an EKG,
And I would do just anything
To keep my man alive

downsouth

I went downsouth to see my old lady
nobody home but the cat and the baby
the cat was drunk the baby was sober
the cat caught a fart and knoked the baby over

i went upstairs to try and light a candle
tripped over the pot and broke the handle
i couldnt swim,i couldnt float
and all that went down you throat.

Here, we go again

Same old stuff again

Marching down the avenue

Few more days and we'll be through

And I won't have to look at you

So I'll be glad and so with you

WWII

My father taught me this:

I left my wife
and 44 kids
on the verge of starvation
with nothing but gingerbread,
left,
left,
left right left.

First they hired me
Then they fired me
Then, by golly, I left,
left,
left,
left right left.

I am trying to find more from WWI. Please post or send them to
kmcilmoil@live.com

Thanks.

There were a whole series of songs that were sung before and after WW2. One of them, we still sang at Ft. Polk in basic in 1974. It went:
My girl's a pretty girl, she's a chicago girl,
I buy her everything to keep her in style.
She's got a pair of feet, Just like the British fleet.
Hey boys, that's where my money goes.
(give me your left, right, left, give me your left right left)

There were many other verses, which always started the same,
My girl's a pretty girl, she's a Chicago girl, I buy her everything to keep her in style.
(then the little changes)

She's got a pair of eye's just like two punkin' pies...

She's got a pair of hips, just like two battleships....

When we come back from town, I pull her panties down...

Hey boys, that's where my money goes!
(give me your left, righ,t left)

There was another famous cadence song ( a Navy one), sometimes referred to as the song of the 7th Fleet called "The Monkey's Have no Tails in Zamboanga". The tune was picked up by sailors when they heard the Phillipino Constabularly band playing it. (It was their march). It was very popular from about 1900 to after WW2.

I am sure Mp3s of this song are available, say on Amazon. The first verse goes,

O, the monkey's have no tails in Zamboanga
O, the monkey's have no tails in Zamboanga
O, the monkey's have no tails, they were chewed off by the whales.
O, the monkey'shave no tails in Zamboanga.

For those interested in old American military marching songs, the Navy School of Music at Little Creek NAB, Norfolk, VA has a rare volume in their library which has an exhaustive selection of cadence, marching and camp songs of soldiers. It was put together by someone after WW 2 and contains a treasure trove of songs sung (but now all but forgotten) from 1900 until WW 2. I don't remember it's name. It was a red bound book, though. You would get in contact with the head librarian there about the particulars of the book.

And still, there is another famous one "O the monkey wrapped his tail around the flag pole", sung to the trio of the famous march "National Emblem". Unfortunately I never knew anyone who knew any more words to it than the ones quoted here.

One song from the China station is "Captain Jinks of the Horse Marines"

He's Captain Jinks of the Horse Marines
He feeds his horse on corn and beans.
He sports the ladies in their teens,
While a captain in the Army.

Chorus
He teach the ladies how to dance,
how to dance, how to dance.
He teach the ladies how to dance
While a captain in the Army.

I think this was actually a song at one point.....

They say that in the army the chow is mighty fine
a biscut rolled off the table and killed a friend of mine
They say that in the army the pay is mighty fine
they give you a hundred dollars and take back 99
hey ma I wanna go
Yeah ma please let me go
Hey ma I wanna go home

There's a bunch of verses.......but, well I'm lazy and don't want to type them all.

there is another version of the classic yellow ribbon...

around her neck she wore a pearl necklace, she wore it for the soldier who was into wipes and chain. and if you ask her why the hell she wore them, cause she knew what would happen if she didnt obey.

haha its much worse but i dont remember the rest. theres also this one, first verse is what makes it awesome...

sittin at home with nothin to do, smokin a jay (some people exaggerates by making a noise similar to inhale/exhale) and drinkin a brew (some people say mmm good so good), my recruiter lied to me "be what you wanna be, do what you wanna do". your left your right your left. your left your right now get in step. your left (hey) your left (hey) your left right your left, now keep it in step.
sat me in a barbers chair spun me around i had no hair (verse 2)
put me on a silver jet, thats a ride ill never forget (verse 3)... and im sure theres more verses

and of course "tiny bird" always takes the win haha!

stand up hook up shuffle to the door,
jump right out and count to four.
if my chute dont open wide,
i got another one on my side

if that chute don't blossom round,
I'll be the first one to hit the ground

pin my wings upon my chest
bury me in the leaning rest...

ok, I was in basic in 1977 and this cadence still brings a smile to my face

probably something to do with how much time we all spent in the leaning rest position.
