5.56X45mm Milforum Mac Daddy Nov 15, 2006 #4 The XM-8 program was scarped because it cost to much money. DoD had to buy new magazines, new equipment, new everything..... Samething with the JCP. It's now a special operations only project. The military is staying with the Beretta 92FS.
