Any thing big goin on?

Yeah, the military is adressing that problem. A Major one being the interet, soldiers use blogs and stuff to stay in touch with families, but, they arent the only ones looking at what they post on their blogs.

The military is trying to crack down, and promote OPSEC.

I feel kinda stupid for starting this thread now....:shoothea:

There's a huge problem with soldiers using the internet, cell phones, and even telegrams to tell their family when someone gets wounded or killed, before the government can inform the next of kin. Imagine what it would feel like to be grocery shopping at the commissary and a spouse of someone deployed with your beloved is the one to tell you the bad news.

source: family member is a social worker for Army Community Services (ACS); deals with this on a daily basis.

Sukio, good on you for being teachable, it will make your life in the military far less painful than it is for others.
