Wasn't it the Polish corps in North Africa that had a captured/released bear as a mascot?

Yep although there seems to be some confusion over who had it some say an artillery unit and others say a transport regiment, about the only thing they agree on is the name of the bear ([SIZE=-1]Voytek).
