This evening my daughter just showed me a scan of a 21 week baby, then said "This is my baby." I was speechless for the first time in my life, so was the missus, our mouths were just opening and closing. My daughter was terrified I would be angry, she was almost in tears. I shouted "YIPPEEEEEEEE I'M GONNA BE A GRANDAD." I pointed at the missus and told her she's going to be a granny lol.
Her boyfriend kept a bit of a low profile hiding in my sons bedroom, he came out for dinner looking a bit sheepish. I looked at him and said, "I hear congratulations are in order." he did look a bit relieved.
The baby is due end of May, start of June.
I'm going to crack open my bottle of Ashbach that I have kept for years waiting for that special occasion.
It still hasn't sunk in yet, I'm still in a bit of a daze.
