Topic: Although Korean president Park Chung Hee was a dictator his work was good.

Park Chung Hee was the leader of South Korea from 1961 to 1970. Syngman Rhee, the first president of South Korea, was forced out of office on April.26. 1960 as a result of the aftermath of the April 19 movement, a student led uprising. The citizens really wanted democracy however after a year, Major General Park Chung Hee led a largely bloodless military coup on May.16.1961. The citizens were really angry and started the movement against the coup detat. He killed many people –an oppressive measure against human rights. Park Chung Hee’s regime had to oppress the democracy movement to stay in power.
During the oppressive measure against human rights Park Chung Hee changed The Korean law called the Yusin constitution. It was advantageous terms to prolong his rule. The new law said a president could lead the country 6 years; Election’s way was not direct election. A vote could become a president several times. That time when some people said that law was not democratic, the Park ChungHee’s regime countered the Yusin constitution was “Korean Democracy”.
However, Park ChungeHee‘s policies were good. He made Korea become a developed country. After the Korean War in 1960, South Korea was poorer than North Korea. South Korean economy level was 172 during Park ChungHee’s policy Korean economy lever rose to 17.
Originally Korea’s center of economy was farming. Park Chung Hee changed it to handicraft and he invested in handicrafts- (dolls, wigs) Three years later Korea’s export was a hundred million dollars then he changed the handicraft to light industries, as a result, Korea earned a billion dollars after 7years (1970). Also he propelled highways so we can easily travel the KoreanPeninsula (7.July.1970)
After U.SArmed Forc went back to the US, he felt self-reliant about the national defense. Park Chung Hee tried to develop the nuclear bomb. He attempted to bring physics scholars along to Korea. At that timeKorea could make hand grenades, bulletproof hats and gas masks. (Mar.1987)
In November 1973 the new community movement” was started in farms. All farms of Korea were thatched roofs and just few houses had electric lights. Park Chung Hee divided Villages each three part of level. Park ChungHee gave prize money to “Good” villages. Therefore they had contests and they endeavored their Villages to develop and helped other villages. The government supplied cement and iron reinforcing rods. As a result, the farmers made cement roads in their Villages on the third ‘new community movement’.
Park Chung Hee made Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) for Korean science in Sep.1989

Park Chung Hee did not trust anyone after his wife was assassinated by someone. Because of His greed for seizure of political power, he was killed by Jae Kyu, Kim who was director of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency.
Park Chung Hee was a dictator but he was a president who made Korea was rich. His policies were the “New country movement, and industrialization. Ithink it was very wasteful about the nucleus bomb because Park ChungHee tried to make the nuclear bomb but after him, President Tae-Woo,Rho proclaimed Korea would not make the nuclear bomb. If Korea can make the nuclear bomb, it will be able to self-reliant of the national defense.

Are you speaking of South Korean Presidents? If you are, post a source of the bribery. Also, we have strict rules of flaming Leaders of Countries by calling them names. Anyone can have an opinion of a world leader as long as you watch your words.
