AP - A roadside bomb killed four American troops in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, driving the July death toll for U.S. forces to the highest monthly level of the war.

Increased causalities were probably expected by the military when it was decided to increase troop strength. The problems the Taliban are having in Pakistan may well mean they can no longer run, and may have to stay and fight.

With a reduced "save haven" in Pakistan the Taliban may be running out of options.
 
So much for not reporting on troop casualties after Obama took office.

Yeah the Taliban are running out of places to run.
