The United States military has released three more prisoners from its prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The Defense Department said it transferred one prisoner to Pakistan and two to Afghanistan. It did not disclose their names or any details about the men. Their release brings the total still held at Guantánamo to about 255. The United States has released more than 500 prisoners and says dozens more are eligible for transfer or release following a security review.
