2nd Ammendment and New Orleans

Here is what I think, CAP has volunteers who are there and helping save people. Now as an organization we are not allowed to have weapons, but what happens if some "Abandoned" guy starts to fire on them? People are trying to help, but are getting shot at. How is that going to workout?

If the Federal Government had acted sooner we probably wouldn't have to be talking about the 2nd.

What a national disgrace.

Could you give us a short statement as to what you would have done in the same circumstances, where were the mistakes? Beaming them up is not a valid answer.

What Nation? You give us no hint as to who you are and what your Nation is.

I agree. How about some valid arguments or statements rather than vague comments.

Try reading your newspapers and watching your TV Sir. You seem to be out of the loop at the moment.

yeah
you could tell that this was going to be bad, they knew the force of the hurricane and that, along with the fact that NO is below sea level automatically means its going to be pretty horrific. granted this doesn't mean that you could predict the anarchy that followed, but surely the governement could have done more before the hurricane hit to get people out of the city, esp. those, such as the homeless of hospitalised who cannot get out on thier own

leaving people starving for 5 days without help is unacceptable for the richest government in the world...

Exactly the words President Bush used.

Riches cant drain ocean water...

Yeah, really it can. Watch the news and see if it's guys with buckets nad shovels or multi-million dollar pumps and chinhook helos.

Locke - The efforts to get the people out of the city where adequate for the infustructure you're dealing with. The real problem was how long it took for a rescue to get to the scene, but for that discussion you can take it to the Katrina topic in the general forum.
