The 2nd Amendment, America's Pride, and the Olympics

As I type this, our proud men and women of the United States of America Olympic Team are competing and winning the gold. Now strangely our own Television Broadcast Company isn't broadcasting some of our members that we should be proudest of. Our shooting team members.

NBC is not broadcasting any of the Olympic Shooting Sports. Why is this? Is it because they are ashamed that there are such sports? Or maybe because if there are these sports that they might further attract Americans to exercise their 2nd Amendment Rights? Or could it be that some of our Team Members are active duty members of our Armed Forces? Or maybe that those that aren't members of our armed forces got on the US Team because they exercised their 2nd Amendment rights?

It's all of the above.

Shooting became an Olympic sport because when the Olympics started. Marksmanship was viewed as something to be proud of. Back in the year of 1896 and before hand, the people of the United States of America and of some European Nations were steeped in the tradition of the rifleman. Society did not frown upon those that took up arms. In fact, society honored and supported the shooting sports and those that took part of said sports. But sadly society has changed and today it is the exact opposite.

But still the Shooting Sports are part of the Olympics. And because of this there are still those that exercise their 2nd Amendment Rights and compete against others all across the world.

Our Team is competing in the People's Republic of China this go around. A nation in which civilian ownership of firearms in not just frowned upon but in which it is a criminal offense. The Chinese Shooting Team is made up of selected members of their elitist ruling class or those that are forced to compete by their own government.

Our Team is made up of American Service Men and Women and of American Civilians that are representing their nation and the rights that their nation is proud of. Not a single person on our team is there because they are forced to compete. They are there because they want to win the gold but also because they got there by exercising their 2nd Amendment Rights.

So just because NBC doesn't broadcast it . Don't worry... be proud in America. We still have the world's best shooters.

The United States of America brough home six medals total. Two Gold, Two Silver, and Two Bronze. Be pround in them...
