Tennesse Army National Guard. Traces lineage back to the Revolutionary War. Served in numerous engagements throughout U.S. history including the Battle of the Bulge where the 278th traces it's lineage through the 117th Infantry Regiment. Currently deployed to Iraq. One of two heavy Armored Cavalry Regiments in the Army. The other is the 3rd ACR.
