Missileer said:The devastation was horrible and the full extent still unknown. People are working around the clock, not only US but aid teams from many countries that have ready resources. Let's make and execute a plan, then judge how much good has been done and not by which Country brags about doing more than everyone else.
Remember that the resources of the USA are very strained by a full out war unless you missed that fact somewhere along the line. We were attacked and continue to be so pardon the President for trying to keep his Country safe. UNITED NATIONS — Around US$500 million (euro367 million) has been pledged for victims of the quake-tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, including a US$250 million (euro184 million) commitment from the World Bank, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan (search) said Thursday.
Annan told reporters he was "satisfied" with the response by world governments, but stressed that U.N. resources were stretched thin and long-term aid was needed.
