1915-1918 official army photos

Found these in a box among other things I inherited...
Here is the album of them : http://s1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj575/poppop210/ (they look kinda blue in the pictures but they are white...probably cause it was getting dark outside when i took the pictures...every one of them has an official army marking)
Looking for someone who will give me an estimated value on them...

It is an impressive collection and in good order so while I have no idea personally what they are worth I have asked someone from another forum who collects that sort of thing to take a look but that may take a couple of days.
 
Thank you very much...that's a big help...(you did try to make photos as best as i could but i am terrible with the camera...although i didn't try to hide the defects as many people do...i just photoed what i have)

Monty told me about this forum and your question. I am a collector and dealer of military photos, postcards, money, etc.

None of the images jump out at me as something super rare that I haven't seen before. That being said, the first few in the 1st album have a bit more appeal than the rest; The one with the building with the name(s) on the side and possibly the image of the soldiers with stacks of something on a table are more interesting/appealing, too. Ditto the one with the vehicle(s).
Can you tell me where your great-grandfather served? Unit? front? Can you tell what the stacks on the table are? do the cards/photos smell musty? Finally, the fact that your great-grandfather is in some of these is the most valuable part for you, your family and future generations of rockstars.
 
one other thing: are the stamps on the back and the information they contain generally legible? (this would help identify the location and possibly unit in the photographs.)

I showed some to my boy...boy but he's 1 and 4 months and tryed to chew one...so...not for him i guess..:))
I have to tell you a few things : I am not from us or england...some of the words I don't know but google translate will help me...I hope...
 
ok so...the writing on the back...it's that weird era writing...I can't make out anything...and for now I don't have very much time (got pacients waiting...but I will try in the next days to read what's in there)...
You mean if the photos smell like an old book...?no...just a little bit...but i think over the years they stood in/ near moisture...i think that made brown/ yellow spots (but providing the age i think they are in pretty good shape)
If you look in the postcard section...where my great grandfather is sitting down and the one with the whole group...on the back of the postcard is stamped : "K.U.K Infanterieregiment Nr.138
3. Feldkompagnie " those 2 are made in 1918
the other 2 are made in 1917and have stamped on them : "Infanterieregiment Nr. 64
11.Feldkompagnie"
I am talking about the first 4 postcards from the postcard section
 
The larger stamp is:
1) Place/Location:
2) Subject:
3) Taken By (Site Manager):
4) This one I am unsure of but I am assuming it is something to do with the method of photography as Aufnehmer in its literal English sense means Transducer
5) Time/Date

Fortunately I suspect section 1, 2 and 5 are the important ones here.
 
I will try to read our what is written there...
But in 3-4 days..right now I am super occupied with pacients...and have today nightshift...tomorrow just work ...2 days from now night shift again...
So the fastest i can give you answers willbe like Saturday...
 
No worries, hopefully someone that knows more about the regiments involved will join in by then.
 
No problem; they have waited 95 years, they can wait a few more days ;)

(I thought I saw something in the hand-writing about 'Swabia' in at least one)
