The planned demolition of the old Zip Feed Mill, at that time the tallest structure in South Dakota, didn't quite go as planned. The company in charge of its demolition did not account for the depth of the basement and when the explosives went off the elevator (that's where grain is taken to be shipped around the country for you big city folk) dropped straight down into the basement which prevented it from falling over.
