I took this picture back in '96 when I was deployed to Bosnia. They were actually parked on a small lot behind a supermarket! The only reason I got in there was because we were there to ensure there was no ammunition in the tanks. They even had a company of T-34's too, but I didn't get close enough for a pic. They were under heavy guard though, you couldn't just walk in and look at them.

I remember going out and seeing many garages like this when I was there. It is amazing how they kept these old rust buckets going

Half of those tanks got towed into battle! There really were tanks that were permanently hooked together with a towbar. As long as it could shoot, they used it.

We got a few of those down at the shooting range when I served in Bosnia.
Very good for target practice..
