101607_fronts05Operations Specialist Seaman Jerry Carpenter, assigned to Lake Erie, performs line handlers for Japanese destroyer JDS Kongo as the ship moors at Naval Station Pearl Harbor. Kongo is the first Japanese ship with the capability to detect, track and intercept short- to medium-range ballistic missiles.
