PLC/OCS while Enlisted/Reserve

I am planning on enlisting in the USMCR after High School. While in the Reserves, I plan to go to college. I have a few questions about that.
1. If I go Enlisted/Reserve, do I get to pick my exact MOS? Or do I just get 03 guaranteed?
2. How hard would it be for an Reserve/Enlisted Marine to get into PLC? OCS? Same as a civilian?
3. From the time I start boot camp 'til the time I finish college, it'll be about 4.5-5 years. Should I sign a five-year contract or should I just sign a four-year contract and then just sign another one when the time comes?
4. This is off the subject, but out of curiousity, can an enlisted man carry his own side arm? If so, what's the process he has to go through? Also, 2ndLt's are issued side arms correct?
Thanks,
Lamm

You do not get a specific MOS you are guaranteed a field. 03, 08, 18, or whatever.

As far as a reservist attending PLC you need to speak with an OSO.

No you cannot carry your own sidearm.
