The security "flaw" that was introduced in IE5, and continued to work in IE6 seems to be corrected now..
The standard settings in IE5 and 6 made the clipboard content available to everyone one using that JavaScript code, unless you manually changed the browser settings (and not many knows how to do that... )

The database I'm using now is a free and apparently not a very good one..
I guess you get what you pay for..

But the (paid) one I'll be getting soon seems to be pretty good, and it doesn't just locate the ISP main office but also contains info on the geographical area/city that the IP (range) is used in..

What about now, any better??

I've added a commercial geo IP database now that should be much more accurate than the free one I had there before.
In many cases it doesn't just show you the location of your ISP, but also the general area where your IP is used (normally within a 25 mile radius, or better).
And I've also added a Google map there, just to show what area your IP belongs to..

Pretty cool eh??

Still some miles off (and in the wrong county) but it is hard to pinpoint the exact location of an IP address, it's getting better

It should be pretty accurate within a 25 mile radius, would need an incredible big and complex database to get it more accurate than that..

But it's a pretty neat thingy anyway, right??

The 25 mile radius is pretty accurate (I have to stop watching CSI where they locate IPs down to 1 meter distance), so you may say "It is good to be right" and I will buy you a beer (if you show up at John Dee on the 16th of May ).

Well its well off for me, wrong island, wrong side of the country and roughly 600 miles (as the crow flies) off target so its probably more than acceptable if its using North Korean missile technology.
