| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Yeah, what happened? It looked so promising they intended to get the first batch in soldiers' hands in June then... nothing. |

| Tirones | ![]() Looks like a lush toy! I would be glad to be given that rather then a SA80 even if it is crap! Seems a bit weird to change the barrel to changes the weapons funtions and also changing the mag housing for different rounds! Sounds compatible enough to me ![]() A sharpshooter version |

| 100% Space Shuttle Door Gunner | The plastic parts melt under extreme heat. Like when you fire a ton of ammo. And it's built off the H&K G36 Weapon system. Never liked it, never will. The AR-15 weapon system is perfect. I've already talked about it once, and I don't want to go over it again. And before people tell me that the AR-15 is plastlic. It's not. It's all metal. The only pastlic parts are the forward hand grips, stock, and pistol grip. The rest of the rifle is metal. The reciever is metal. The XM-8 is plastic. And I hate built in optic sights. Nothing is soldier proof. And I can prove it. That sight system will break. GIVE ME IRON SIGHTS. |

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Looks pretty sweet from the pictures. Except for the fact that it is plastic. That is kind of weird and it would melt under a lot of heat. But other than, that it looks good. |

| Milforum Moderator ![]() | Army has put it on the backburner for now and are looking at other options. It didn't live up to the hype during testing, but they aren't quite ready to put it completely out to pasture yet either. |

I mean, like did they only have a few problems they sent back to H&K for refinement and are awaiting new prototypes or did they just smile, shake hands and say *cough*b******trifel*cough* under their breaths? Is there a close 2nd weapon that they're having a shoot-off with? Did they have a trashy-romance-novel-style change of heart and re-fall in love with the 50 year old man after dating the young hot stud after all?

Oh and US is not done yet. Im very sure that they wont simply let millions of dollars of development go down the drain just like that.
