The Hitler youth units were the 12th Division Hitlerjugend, there 20,000 of them around Caen in 1944 and 17.000 were killed trying to stop the British and Canadian advanced. As far the NCO's go I do not have a clue, the only thing I do know about them is they got an extra sweet ration or some thing like that. Also by the time this unit returned to Germany at the Wars end there were just 600 lads left alive from the 20,000 that started out
