Eeehh.... it was in the final stages of the Dutch occupation. You see the war started in 1939 and this happened in 1944.... Hahahahaha what were you thinking Zander?

(p.s. they didn't have any gypsies... at least not that I know of!)

After a Dutch resistance attack on a German staff car in which 1 German officer was killed,
the Germans burned down a number of buildings in the village and sent 600 men of the village to concentration camps. Only around 50 survived, to return after the war.
