Ok heres my starter for 10:
1) On the beach of Hermanville-sur-Mer as part of Sword sector.
2) Green, White and Red sector
3) I only find troops from the British 3rd Division so I will go with English

The English are not the only nation which is classed as British.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are also classed as British.

As well as English battalions, there were battalions from the Kings Own Scottish Borders, and the Royal Ulster Rifles, within the 3rd Division.

1-wrong ( the town is a 4 letter word)

Yep I realise this sorry I worded my answer poorly, I meant to say the assault was charged to the British 3rd division and the only troops I could find in action there were from English brigades.

Well I know the Canadians were close by so I will go with Canada as the second country (especially since most of the rest of the commonwealth is southern hemisphere and were engaged in Italy and the pacific at that time).

The first part has me beat though as the objective of the assault was Caen but not the landing beach so I will try Caen?
