Was it the battle of the Java Sea in, I believe 1941? The Dutch got creamed there by the Japanese and we lost our great admiral Karel Doorman?

The battle took place in what is now called Iron Bottom sound. It also was a battle in which two US Admirals were killed I believe it was called the Battle of Savo Straits (not sure of spelling)
