| Tribunus Laticlavius | Post; WWII Airforce jokes...I heard two funny stories about the AF in WWII. Joke 1 Fred and Sam were having a disagreement about the P-40 Warhawk. Fred liked the P-40, Sam disliked it. So they were going back and forth about about the pro's and cons of the aircraft. Finally... Sam "you havent even mentioned the P-400 yet"! Fred "the P-400? what the hell is the P-400? Sam "Its a P-40 with a ZERO and the end". (ed. the P-400 was the USSR version of the P-40 that used a Russian engine) Joke 2 (true story) A RAF pilot gets back from mission where he had just returned from a full scale furball with the Luftwaffe. Exasperated he angrily states that the 'Fokkers' were everywhere and they were lucky to have survived. His commander calmly explains that it couldnt have been 'Fokkers' as Fokkers were Dutch and that the Germans didnt use them... The pilot says "Sir, you dont understand, these 'F**ERS' where flying Messerschmitts!!!". |

| Tribuni Angusticlavii  | The dsecond joke is kinda like this one: One day an elderly man that served in the Army Air corps(air force) in WWII was giving a speech at a local elementary school. He was telling the kids about a firefight he had: I shot one down! BAMM! AND ANOTHER ONE! BAMM!! Those Fokkers were droppping left and right. Then the teacher explains to the kids. "now children, the Fokker was a German aircraft. Then the pilot says."yeah but those Fokkers were flying Messerschmidts... |
