| Forum Health Inspector | Post; I Work for this Agency?!?!HELPING REFUGEES IN KUWAIT during Operating Desert Storm, my unit had to breathe smoke-filled air. To ease our concerns, our commander told us that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services had tested the air. "No adverse effects will be experienced by service members serving in the area," our commander quoted, "as long as prolonged breathing is avoided." --Contributed to "Humor In Uniform" by 1st Lt. | Forum Health Inspector | While I've got this thread going about DHHS -- we're known as Commissioned Corps officers around here. So of course, with the movie Jarhead coming out, anytime something about our job really p!$$e$ us off, our new standard quote is: "I thank God for every day that He gives me in the Corps." To which someone usually responds: "oo-RAH!" |
