Post; Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Released

Microsoft have (finally) released service pack 1 (SP1) for Vista now.
It's been in Beta for a while but this is the first official release.

I just hope it fixes the lousy file copy system.
I only get file copy speeds of 10 til 14 Mb/sec now (from HDD to HDD)..

Links to info and download of the 32 bit and 64 bit standalone updaters here:

(yep, self promotion is always good.. )

Polish language version will be available in April so I’ll have to wait a while longer to test it out.

Thats probably a good thing as they will have some of SP1's bugs fixed by then.

^^^ Do I detect a hint of sarcasm there?^^^

Pity that it's got such a good basis in fact.

Yeah there probably was.

However at this point I am not planning to switch from XP until at least SP2, I have a feeling that Vista is going to rank up there with Windows ME in its popularity and life span.

Just to let you all know, unlike the laptop, SP1 totally crashed my desktop I lot all my drivers including my RAID driver. I had to reinstall from scratch. Its working now but make you back everything up before upgrading.

Absolutely Charming. I wonder what's the next little trick from Microsoft?
