Eve of Destruction by Barry McGuire (it's mostly anti-war, si? But it makes a lot of good points.)
Merle Haggard - The Fighting Side of Me

Montogermy Gentry - Didn't I? (We Were Soldiers sndtrk.)
Quote:
I've seen boys fall to pieces
Grown men cry out for Jesus
Til there black and blue
I thought God was on your side
Weren't we suppose to be the good guys
That would never lose
Cause I don't see no ticker tape or five mile parades
Sayin "Thank You son"
Just folks that sit and judge me
Who ain't seen or did what I've done

Didn't I burn, didn't I bleed enough for you
I faced your fears
Felt the pain so you won't have to
Ya didn't I do my best
And wasn't home here when I left.
Sgt. McKenzie
Quote:
Lay me doon in the caul caul groon
Whaur afore monie mair huv gaun
Lay me doon in the caul caul groon
Whaur afore monie mair huv gaun
When they come a wull staun ma groon
Staun ma groon al nae be afraid
Thoughts awe hame tak awa ma fear
Sweat an bluid hide ma veil awe tears
Ains a year say a prayer faur me
Close yir een an remember me
Nair mair shall a see the sun
For a fell tae a Germans gun
and finally Johnny Cash and *cringes* Dave Matthews with "For You."

'Good Man' by India.arie from the 'We Were Soldiers' soundtrack

'Johnny Has Gone For A Soldier' a folk song

'Danny Boy' traditional

'And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda' by Eric Bogle about Gallipoli

'The Green Fields of France' by Eric Bogle

'Faded Coat of Blue' traditional

'Ballad of the Green Beret' by Barry Sadler

'Blood on the Risers' an Airborne song

There's plenty more where that came from. I rather like John McDermott.

Rappers dont relate to soldiers. These guys rap about killing their girlfriend etc... but follow the Hollywood crowd when It comes to US military action.

Yep, that and American Soldier.

Well technically we good patriots should say the Star Bangled Banner, but you can't really go around playing that and wear a hat, so those two win.

Of course their are others, like Proud to be an American, that was a good one. Where were you was ok, I think AJ overplayed people's emotions alittle, but I will let it slide.
