It's amazing, really, how many JROTC awards you can get. If your uniform is hanging down because of the weight of all your trash, you should probably wear just the first three...

Here's mine:
Amphibious Raid Qualification badge.
Threat to imprison.
Threat to transfer to some loser unit.
Invitation to OCS.

Personally don't care about medals much. My job, what me and my guys did... that was the reward.

I have loads of NJ ROTC ribbons, to many, it's a pain to put them on. Here they are as from lowest to highest:

Navy Surface Association Honor Cadet, Sea Cruise, Mini Boot Camp, Orienteering,Rifle Team,Community Service,Unit Service, Participation,Physical Fitness,Academic Award,Exemplary Conduct,NS 1 outstanding cadet,Aptitude, Unit Achievement, Honor Cadet.

I qualify for Community service, participation, and unit service and orienteering, academic award, as well as physical fitness multiple times, so I have stars or lamps on them.

Ironically I only have two medals, One is second place at a orienteering match, and the other a Area 12 NJ ROTC Academics championship medal.(not as hot a it sounds)

I know this sounds like I am showing off, but when I get hopefully into the REAL U.S. Navy, I am not going just for ribbons and medals.

If you think the real military/training is anything but, you're going to be sorely disappointed.

/Exaggerating...a little.

Let me put it this way. It's a real b*tch when your CO believes he's too good to suck up to his higher ups.
