Television networks such as The History Channel and the Discovery Channel make extensive use of voice-overs. On NBC, the television show Starting Over used Sylvia Villagran as the voice-over narrator to tell a story.

Redleg,
That's beautiful that she does what she wants with her voice, and she's accepted.

No voice-overs needed here.

Saw them live once, they where warming up for Iron Maiden here in Norway a few years ago and they had started playing when we entered the concert hall.
At first I didn't pay any attention to them, just went straight for the beer line and thought that they where an ok death metal band with a male singer (as it normally is)
But then suddenly SHE started to introduce the next song with a tiny feminine voice and then suddenly started singing/growling like a man, and that was quite a shock and I instantly fell in love.

Here's another good band from Finland this time, Nightwish w/ Tarja, and one of the best cover songs ever made IMO, a lot better then the original.

I looked for some of her music to see if she sang differently.. but it seems this is her style. I"m sure she has a wide range.

Here's a little Alice in Chains.
