At one time

I would probably say the French Campaign of 1940 which ended at Dunkirk, either that or el Alamein.

you people aer all rong the largest area of forces was in the normandy cmpaign 1944- 1945 it was the best known battle feild of ww2

Although Monte-Casino was an international battle, I personally consider many of the other nations there to be distinctly British (the Indians and Ghurkas for example).
