I CONDUCTED a training course in assault procedures for our weapons storage area, covering the proper actions to take should one of our structures be occupied by hostile forces. After carefully outlining the positions and actions of various teams, I asked one of the troops, "Which team enters the structure first?"

He didn't know the correct answer, but gave me one he felt was in line with Air Force policy: "The team with the most junior enlisted men?"
