What makes something an SF weapon. The SAS use browning HP 9mm, it's an old gun, with very little in the way of technology... but it is an "SF" weapon. What if a weapon is technologically superior but is used by everyday "ho-hum" line infantry?

Sorry Aussienick ,what makes something a SF weapon (Not what I said, FIREARM) .
If its used by SF its a SF weapon regardless of how old it is.
I know how good a browning HP(fired one myself). is but thats not what I asked.
