Post; The Warrant Officer

Greetings all

I'm currently researching a paper for work and would like your input / thoughts.

The highest profile Warrant Officers are the RSM's and CSM's of the Army, yet there are a number of others in various positions that are no less important. For those that have served under, with or had working for them (yes, I'm even directing this question at the Ruperts . What would you say are the defining characteristics of a Warrant Officer with regard to his/her:

1. Critical Skills,

2. Knowledge,

3. Attitudes, and

4. On the job experience.

Cheers

For the RAF its the SWO (station WO) usually a short man with the complexion of a bulldog eating a wasp, the uncanny ability to be heard in neighbouring towns shouting at someone because they were breathing the wrong way. Have been known to possess the following special abilities;
1. As mentioned loud voice/sonic scream of doom
2. The ability to creep up on you when your having a fag outside shq
3. Nice and pleasant to little old ladies, which lures you into a false sense of security
4. Chest poking
5. Being 4ft tall and armed with a pace stick, would scare the crap out of most rugby teams.
