Post; WAR Strategy games

Which games for any kind of general role do you like?
I like American Conquest & Fight Back (I recomend it to all history buffs)
Not sure but Cossacs 2 seems also good, seeing how they are made by the same developers

Hearts of Iron 2 and Rome: Total War. these are great strategy games, especially if you want to control a thousand legionaires and march them over enemy foot soldiers.

hearts of iron is very impressive. its kinds like the board game Risk but a whole lot better. it has a very steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it its loads of fun. everything is authentic in it as well. you have to assign generals to each of your divisions and depending on the rank of general (major, lieutenant, general, field marshall) they can control more divisions. each general also has its strengths like it would be wise giving rommel, guderian, or patton tank divisions with one or two infantry divisions with an antiaircraft attachment.
