Topic: USMC Reserve Units

Hello, I was looking at a few USMCR Units, and am wondering if they are Infantry or not, or in other words, for 0311 Marines.

I was looking at Alemeda and San Bruno, in CA.

Alemeda-- 1st Battalion, 14th Marines, 4thMarDiv
Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 14th Marines, 4thMarDiv

San Bruno-
Headquarters, 23rd Marines, 4thMarDiv
Headquarters & Service Company, 23rd Marines, 4thMarDiv ---whats this unit?
Company E, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines, 4thMarDiv

1/14 is an Artillery Bn, HQ Btry is the Arty version of an Infantry H&S Co.
it includes Motor Transport, Comm, personel and admin, supply. The 0800 MOS's assigned to HQ btry will be limited to FDC, Survey Met, and the FO's in the NGF liasion section.

H&S 23rd Marine Regiment is the Regimental Hide and Slide Co. They are support personel mainly very few combat MOS's. See above. Plus STA Plt.
and Scout's

Co. E 2/23 is a Rifle Company consisting of 0311's, 0331's etc they are a line company of grunts.

Okay, so the botton one under San Bruno would be for 0311 Marines?

Yeah Echo 2/23 is a line Company home to 0311's.
