No Fort Wilderness. ........ except at Disney Land

The final battle is based on the Battle of Cowpens where Morgan decoyed Tarleton in using a retreating militia force.

Theres no evidence that a church burning like the one depicted ever took place during the American Revolution.

The Patriot while good entertainment lacks historical accuracy.

Kind of an Americanized version of Braveheart.
Strange thing for an Australian to do!

Cowpens was called something else in the movie, maybe "Fort Wilderness" was based on Ft. Nessesity, or some other F&I War battle, perhaps.
