This is much more of a Taiwan V China, little to no mention of the US.

In my opinion (hes clearly much more educated than i am on the subject) he gives a case point why if the US doesnt intervine the ROC cant possibly hold.

I bet this will get locked since they said no more US vs China threads. IMO, they wouldn't go to war, it would be too devastating on their economies in the short term, especially china. It will eventually lead to taiwan becoming a SAR like Hong Kong or Macau.

You also got to take into account the two American aircraft carrier battle groups lurking around the Asian-Pacific. Yep, not just standalone aircraft carriers, but complete with subs, frigates, destroyers, etc. Any Chinese aggression could be met in less than 2 hours.
