BAGHDAD, Nov 5 (AFP) - A US soldier was killed when a bomb exploded as his
patrol passed on Friday in the east of Baghdad, the US army announced on
Saturday.

His death brought to 2,032 the number of US military personnel who have died
in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion, according to an AFP tally based on
Pentagon figures.
