| Milforum Moderator ![]() | It's only harboring if Asylum is granted and he is in fact a terrorist. That being said here's how I see it being played out. He'll get a hearing and an investigation will be conducted. Chavez will demand he be extridited to Venezeula. Another hearing, he has the right to fight extridition. The Court will find that he won't receive a far trial in Caracas, (probably true as Hugito will go to great lengths to kiss Castro's fuzzy butt, Fidel is his he-row). They will appeal. They will lose again. The US goverment will not turn him over due to National Security Issues. Now whether I agree or not is moot. Besides it's hard to feel sorry about a plot to take out the guy who's readily given aid and comfort to a good percentage of the worlds terrorist organizations eerr Freedom fighters. Airliners and civilian targets however are a different story.

He won't be tried in the US for any outstanding warrants in other Countries. But he will be given hearings if he chooses to fight extradition to Chavez's Peoples Paradise. | |

| Milites Gregarius | Have a look through recent history since WW 2. How many terrorist/war criminals were given protection by Allied nations mainly USSR and US for knowledge of experiments carried out by German or Japanese Scientists and personnel during WW2. Such as chemical warfare and military technology. Eg unit 731 in china where personnel including the CO of unit 731 was given freedom from prosoction if they gave the US all results from testing on chinese population which killed Thousands over the years. So what is the diiferance in that between habouring terrorist or war criminals. I am not supporting either cause but you must look at history and both points of view. Things like this are nothing new and I am supprised that people are shocked by these issues |

| Tirones | [quote="SwordFish_13"]Hi, Isen't Trying him in USA is like letting OLB be tried by Taliban or Saddam by Baadh Party ? ................ The Taliban and Baath Party sanctioned terrorist activities and vile criminal acts against their own people. There is no evidence that the US sanctioned blowing up a Cuban airliner. There are allegations that Posada was possibly involved, that is it. So, no your comparison is flawed. |
