I just got this from FoxNews. The attack is as yet unconfirmed, but supposedly it was an AH-64 that fired rockets in the area, destroying a wall, but not damaging the mosque itself. They gave 40 as the death toll as well, but I'm waiting to find out if those 40 were the bad guys or not. To be honest, the way these guys use mosques and crowds of civilians as sanctuaries is extremely frustrating to me (although our ROE are, when looked at with a cool head, reasonable for the most part). I'm not saying "kill 'em all and let God sort them out," but I believe that these tactics are nearly the sole reason for any collateral damage that has occurred during the past year (as well as similar practices in Afghanistan).

AH-64 is an Apache .. Army asset. Marines have the Cobra, which fired a hellfire.

I wouldn't say that staying inside a mosque, shooting at US Marines, and believing that they wouldn't shoot back was a great idea...

But unfortunatelly this is very common.
Terrorists/attackers taking cover behind women and children, and complaining that the same women and children where hit when the "evil" occupation soldiers shot back at them...

I would call that disgusting actions!

Sorry Sir, I didn't catch that when I saw it on the news. Need to work on my situational awareness .

But with that, it does kind of show how much (or how little) the media actually knew or knows about the situation (hey, if I'm going down, I'm taking them with me ).
