Post; Unknown patch from unknown military branch

I have a patch from a member of my family that I have yet to identify. Can someone help It is round and has a blue star in the center which is surrounded by a white "cloud" with 6 humps. The white "cloud" has a red boarder. I have checked the USMEDALS.com site and looked through the Army and USMC patch pages with no luck. I am at a loss. ANYONE?

I'll have to check with Redleg but I don't think it will be a problem.

If this is what it looks like, it's from the Army Services Forces during WWII (1941)

Here's the info:

That's exactly what the patch looks like. Even though it is an Army Services Forces patch could it have been issued to someone in the Marines during WWII?

Doubtful. The Marine Corps had their own patchs referred to as "Battle Blaze's" At the Division Level , They also had Blazes for Raiders, Parachute Bn's, Defense Bn's, and for elements at the MEF and FMF level.

To my knowledge, the Army Service Forces consisted of officers and enlisted women of the WACs.

Post; Trial Defense Service/DA Staff Support Patch

The patch is currently worn by Army criminal defense lawyers with the U.S. Army Trial Defense Service (TDS).

Here's a link to the information on the patch on the Army Heraldry website:

And links to pages showing it in its TDS context:
