Topic: U.S. Solider In Iraq Will Win Super Bowl Tickets

A lucky American soldier stationed in Iraq doesn't know it yet, but he or she will have a great view of the Super Bowl in Glendale on Feb. 3.
Phoenix-based TriWest Healthcare Alliance, a Defense Department contractor that provides health care for military personnel and veterans, is donating two of its Super Bowl tickets to a soldier stationed at Camp Speicher in Tikrit.
TriWest is working with the Pentagon on details of the trip. A drawing will be held in January.
"We believe we are in the business of taking care of people who wear the uniform and their families," said Scott Celley, TriWest's vice president of external affairs. "This was an opportunity to convey our very deep appreciation to service members for what they do for us every day."
The Tikrit unit recently received care packages from Packages from Home, a Phoenix non-profit group. Inside the packages was a note: One soldier from the unit would win two tickets to the big game.
Camp Speicher's commander read the note to her troops in a video message that was broadcast on a projection screen at last weekend's Countdown to Kickoff party in Glendale, celebrating the 100-day mark until Super Bowl XLII.
"The Super Bowl is a time when Americans come together and celebrate sports. But a lot of people aren't in a position to see the game because we are in a time of war," said Bob Sullivan, president of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee.
