BAGHDAD, Iraq_A U.S. soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in northern Iraq,
the U.S. command said Friday.

The soldier, with the 105th Engineer Group, was killed Thursday, the
military said.

No further details were released and the soldier's name was being withheld
pending notification of next of kin.
