BAGHDAD, Aug 27, 2006 (AFP) - Insurgents have killed two US soldiers, one in
a roadside bomb attack southeast of Baghdad and another in a gun attack in
the capital, the US military said Sunday.

"A Multi-National Division Baghdad soldier was killed at approximately 2:00
pm (1000 GMT) on Sunday by small-arms fire in eastern Baghdad," US
headquarters said in a statement.

The second soldier was killed when his vehicle was hit at around 10:15 pm
(1815 GMT) on Saturday, a previous statement said.

The latest fatalities brought the US military death toll in Iraq since the
March 2003 invasion to 2,620, according to AFP count based on Pentagon
figures.

RIP, soldiers.
