BAGHDAD, Dec 4 (AFP) - Two people were killed and 11 wounded by a bomb blast
in Tahrir square in central Baghdad on Sunday, according to police.
The bomb, placed next to a car in the busy square, was targeting a police
convoy, which escaped unscathed. Several stores in the area were also
damaged.
The attack follows several other attacks during the day, including the
assassination of a Shiite cleric and the killing of three soldiers.
