Not nice!! It certainly lends weight to the argument for better records being kept for adoptees. It's not before time, we have a man in this district who had been told that he was an English orphan sent to Australia and adopted by a local farming family. His adoptive parents died and left him the family farm, about which time he started trying to find out about his natural parents, only to find that they had only recently died also, and that he had a brother and sister back in England. Sad! |
