There were twin brothers. One was Joe and the other was John. Joe was the proud owner of a dilapitated old row boat. It happened that John's wife died the same day Joe's boat filled with water and sank.

A few days later a kindly old lady met Joe on the street, and, mistaking him for John, said, "Oh, Mr. Jones, I was sorry to hear of your great loss, you must feel terrible."

Joe spoke up saying, "Well I'm not sorry! She was a rotten old thing from the start and smelled like an old dead fish. Even the first time I got in her she made water faster than anything! She had a bad crack and a pretty big hole in front and it got bigger every time I used her. I got so I could handle her but when anyone else would use her she would leak like everything. This is what finished her -- four fellows from the other side of town came over looking for a good time and wanted to rent her anyway. The results were the crazy fools tried to get in her all at once and she cracked all the way up the middle!"

The old lady fainted.
